Kodak Picture of the Day : Eagle Brother Support

This picture exemplifies how football team members can become like brothers. My son said to his friend after they played a very rough, physical game and they were hurting, "Let's help each other off the field." Even tough guys need support sometimes!

Comment: When shooting outside at night, the flash range defines the content of an image, anything that lies beyond is lost to the darkness. This can often ruin an image. In this case, it makes the picture. The exhausted players are just at the edge of the light, about to step out of our view. The clutter of the background is gone, allowing us to focus on the moment and the interaction of the two boys.
