"We found Patrick Smith's West Hollow Boat Yard high on a hill above Naples, New York. I used a wide-angle lens (and macro mode on some images) to capture the amazing detail of the caned seats and cedar-and-canvas craftsmanship."

"This photo is one of my favorites because I turned an ugly construction site into a surreal landscape. The stones are actually chips of granite that looked silver in the camera. 5 inches outside the frame, there was construction tape and bulldozers, but the image itself looks so peaceful."
